We’re mid-way through January and already I’m writing my third post of the year. Compared to last year, that’s pretty good going I’d say. In my summary of last year, and in my subsequent post on 12 Devs of Xmas, one of things I’ve talked about a lot this year is change. I also hinted that some changes were coming this year. I’d like to share with you one of the exciting changes that will be happening in just over a month’s time.
Next month, I’m going to be joining the Origami Team at the Financial Times!
I’m really excited to have the opportunity to join a growing and innovative team within the FT. Getting to work alongside some ridiculously clever people like Alice Bartlett, Alberto Elias, and Andrew Betts as well as the wider team at the FT.
I’m sad to be leaving dxw after such a short time. I think there were still a lot of things I’d have liked to have been part of. Including some interesting work coming up for the team. They’re a great team working towards ambitious goals as an agency in the public sector, which is exciting. And they are hiring!
A chance to write more
Finally, I’ve started this year as I had hoped by writing a few more things and I’m hoping to continue that as the year goes on. I’ve got a few ideas already (even a couple of WordPress related posts) and I’m expecting that the Origami team will help to keep me on my toes too. Learning more and writing what I’ve learned along the way. I can’t think of a better way of working.
